dr. Olivera Komar

Prof. dr. Olivera Komar is a full professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Montenegro, where she teaches Foundations of Research in Political Science, Introduction to Empirical Research, Political Behavior, Political Marketing, and Political Communication. Her primary research interests include political behavior, identity politics, and party and electoral systems. She earned her PhD from the same faculty in 2012 and pursued further academic training at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Bologna, and Goethe University in Frankfurt, where she also served as a visiting professor in 2023.

She is the national coordinator for the Montenegrin National Election Study (MNES) and the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES). She also served as the national coordinator for the 9th and 10th rounds of the European Social Survey (ESS) and for the European Values Study (EVS) in Montenegro in 2016. She is a member of the executive board of the Consortium of National Election Studies (CNES) for the 2022–2025 term.

She has published articles in several journals, including Nationalities Papers, Quality and Quantity – International Journal of Methodology, Politics, Southeast European and Black Sea Studies, Problems of Post-Communism, and East European Politics and Societies, as well as several book chapters in Routledge monographs.
